The phone that created a revolution is now at Verizon
Putting an end for all the rumors the Verizon iPhone 4 is finally into the market .To have this product on America’s most reliable wireless network customers and non-customers have been waiting for long. Those who couldn’t grab one during presale, this will be a wonderful opportunity to have one. To purchase the coveted Smartphone they can just line up at any of several retail shop.
The strong demand for Verizon iPhone 4 has caused the product to run out of stock and the company has directed the customers and dealers to purchase the product online on Feb. 9 or from stores on feb.10th.The new Smartphone has features like retina display, face time video calling, LED flash camera, folder including multitasking etc. Personal hotspot is an added feature that helps the users to connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. The product is sold at $199 for 16GB model and $299 for 32GB model with two year contract.
On Thursday, 10th February, the iPhone 4 was available online to Verizon Wireless customers. It was the most successful first-day sale in the history of all Smartphone sales, according to the officials. In Atlanta and Georgia, slightly more than a dozen stood in line outside a Verizon store to get the new phone before even the store opened. Customers have been calling for Apple to offer the iPhone on networks other than AT&T for years, in part because that network is known for dropped calls. Now onwards there will be iPhones in the Great Plains states, and they’ll all be Verizon ones.
The latest hotspot feature has a single demerit that it is not advanced enough to compete with the GSM network of AT&T. The entire new stock of Verizon iPhones was sold out within a few hours on pre sale and now the customers have to wait till next week to buy the product.
To conquer the market with Verizon, AT&T fired back with a new deal meant to convince a few of the potential 2.5 million ship-jumpers to stick around with them. The company launched a “Mobile to Any Mobile” plan for new and existing contracts, which offers unlimited calling to any mobile number for free. The catch is that in order to qualify for the upgraded plan, buyers must already be paying for or bump themselves up to unlimited monthly texts, which adds an extra $20 to monthly bills.
