Quality Wireless MP3 FM Modulators Do Exist

July 25th, 2011

Using a wired MP3 FM modulator is a great alternative to listening to commercial radio when driving from one location to the next. But what happens when you want to use it in your home, work or on vacation outside of your vehicle?

Wired MP3 FM modulators are generally hardwired into the dash of your vehicle. This makes them a stationary technology that cannot be used in other locations. Another option is a wireless FM modulator (i.e FM transmitter), which can provide the same quality and allow you to transport it from vehicle to vehicle. Quality FM transmitters (more details to come) can also be used at home, the office, on camping trips and many other locations. The following are examples of how convenient an FM transmitter can be:

1. Let’s suppose that you want to watch your favorite television program, but the people you live with are trying to sleep or working on something, forcing you to keep the volume down. Rather than struggling to hear what is being said, consider the FM transmitter which can be utilized to broadcast the sound from the TV to a nearby radio, which would keep the room’s overall noise at a moderate level. Or you could choose to eliminate all sound with the purchase of wireless FM headphones.

2. The tediousness of house cleaning can often be remedied by listening to music, helping the work go faster. However, listening to music from a computer can often be a bit of a hassle; as the music needs to be cranked up, annoying the neighbors, so that you can hear it throughout the entire house. With an FM transmitter you can channel your tunes to multiple radios throughout the house eliminating this problem.

3. The same could be said for an outdoor pool party or barbeque. Rather than blasting the music at obnoxiously high levels over your speaker’s audio, you can play it at a moderate level on radios throughout the backyard with the help of an FM transmitter.

When I describe these applications, I’m only referring to quality FM transmitters. Cheap, worthless transmitters don’t have anywhere near the transmission strength to broadcast audio throughout your home. Most FM transmitters can only transmit a few feet, so it’s important to purchase the right one. The best FM transmitters can transmit well over a hundred feet. Because of the transmission strength, the sound quality is just as good as a wired MP3 FM modulator.

A wired MP3 FM modulator, since it’s hardwired into your dash, obviously can’t be used in any other place than the car; this severely limits the ways in which you can use it. Quality modulators and transmitters are very similar in audio quality and price. The main difference is versatility. You just need to decide if you want to buy something with one use, or one with several. Pretty simple choice if you ask me.

3G Technology Enhances Mobile Internet Connections

November 6th, 2010

The Internet has been and always will be a good communication tool. Since the first time it was used to share data in a trial, have found new ways to use the Web for their convenience.

We all laughed when Homer Simpson the bumbling lovable father from the hit animated series ‘The Simpsons’ once said “They have the internet on computers now?” But with the way internet technology is making advances we may be saying that of a lot of things to come.

Every day there are new advances in technology that bring the world closer together. IT is not as difficult to conduct business locally as well as internationally, which increases the need to be more and more mobile with regards to communication.

It is very important for the modern tech-savvy businessperson to have access to email and internet on-the-go. Earlier laptops used to be a luxury, but have become quite commonplace these days. But even with a laptop, there is the need to have a wireless internet card or to be within the range of an available Wifi network.

Mobile internet was made a lot easier when it was introduced on cell phones. CDMA , GSM as well as 2G internet connections allow the user to connect to the internet for a particular price as decided by the Service Provider. These connections have good enough speed to allow users to make video phone calls, as well as surf the internet.

Most of these phones use Enhanced Data GSM Environment (EDGE) technology which is a high speed mobile data standard. This is the same technology as is used by BlackBerry. This technology works well with BlackBerry for connecting to the internet because of the differences between BlackBerry and other phones. However large data transfers may not be as simple when using other phones.

This is where 3G technology comes in. 3G or Third Generation is a generation of standards for mobile phones and telecommunications. 3G mobile internet offers greater networking capabilities which enable wireless video conferences, video calling and high speed data transfers.

3G technology offers download speeds of up to 2 Mbps which even allows for live streaming so that you can watch TV shows on your mobile phone. It is definitely a step up from its predecessor 2G that did not permit such high speed transfers.

These days a lot of people are buying Smart phones and touch phones as compared to the normal user friendly phones that we were used to in the Indian market. It is only with the activation of 3G that the full potential of these phones can be unlocked.

There are number of service providers in India are set to release a 3G plans soon. Together, these already exist in the state telecommunications companies, which offer 3G services.

An Introduction To Ethernet

October 27th, 2010

LAN is a fairly common word that is used when talking about Internet connectivity. It is an acronym for Local area network. It is a network that connects computers and other such devices in a specific geographical area. This area could be a home, school, office building or a neighborhood. Each device in the network is a node.

The most popular LAN technology in use currently is Ethernet. The standard for Ethernet is defined by the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). The IEEE Standard 802.3 defines the rules for configuring Ethernet.

Ethernet was developed by a researcher named Robert Metcalfe of the Xerox Corporation in the 1970′s. However it became popular only after Metcalfe convinced Digital Equipment Corporation and Intel to join with Xerox to develop the first draft of the Ethernet standard in 1980.

The first implementation of Ethernet used coaxial cables, which were about 20 mm in diameter. This became known as Ethernet Thicknet. Thinnet Ethernet was introduced later, it uses the cable TV cable at the moment.

The next development was Unshielded Twisted pair (UTP) cable which is a 4 pair cable similar to a telephone cable in both appearance and end connector. It has a variety of grades, of which level 1 is the lowest quality and level 5 is the best.

Level 1 and 2 are mostly used for voice and other low speed transmissions. Level 3 can handle speeds of up to 16mbps, level 4 handles up to 20Mbps and the finest cable level 5 can handle up to 100Mbps.

The first Ethernet switch was introduced in 1990 by a networking equipment manufacturer called Kalpana in the Silicon Valley. An Ethernet switch is a networking device that connects network segments together. It works so as to remove all unneeded traffic from each segment by only forwarding the traffic needed on that segment, which provides better performance on the network.

These switches are used to connect point-to-point links to reduce installation costs and to increase reliability while enabling point-to-point management and troubleshooting.

Communication between Ethernet is in the form of data packets that are both sent and delivered individually. Each Ethernet station is assigned a 48-bt Media Access Control (MAC) address. These MAC addresses are used to specify the source as well as the destination of each data packet.

Ethernet is a technology that has continued to develop since it was developed. The evolution of technology is integrated into a wider bandwidth, and changes in the print edition. Developed the basic technology for existing networks in the region.

Ethernet has gained much popularity because of decreasing cost of the hardware required to support it and also the less panel space that it requires. For these reasons, most manufacturers directly build the functionality of an Ethernet card into PC motherboards.

The Revolution In Wireless Communications

October 12th, 2010

A Wireless network is by definition a computer network that exists without the use of wires. It is mostly associated with telecommunication networks. These networks transmit information in the form of electromagnetic waves or radio waves which are sent from one device to another.

The wireless technology that exists today has come a long way since it was introduced in the 1980′s. 1G stands for first generation technology. This is machine level analog technology. With this technology a voice call is transmitted through radio signals between radio towers. This technology was highly unreliable because of poor voice links. Calls were also susceptible to eavesdropping.

To improve on the shortcomings of 1G technology, 2G technology was developed. This second generation technology relies on digital signals to transmit a voice call to a radio tower. Digital signals allow data to be compressed. This means that more data can be transmitted as compared an analog signal. This technology is most widely used in present times.

The 3G technology is considered by many as the future of technology. It is preferable that the 1G and 2G, because the high-transmission technology, advanced multimedia capabilities and access to a global movement. It is primarily used with devices that combine telephone access. The user must subscribe to the service provider uses this technique.

A Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is what connects two or more devices using a wireless distribution method. This is achieved by means of a Wi-Fi router. This Wi-Fi router could also be called a hotspot. This allows users to move around within a certain distance of the Router and still be connected to the network.

Wireless Wide Area Networks (WAN) is a wireless network that covers a large outdoor area. This can be used to connect branches of offices or can be used to connect a large public area. These can be combined with renewable sources of energy so that they can be stand alone systems.

Bluetooth is another wireless technology is open. Allows data transfer within walking distance of the fixed line to mobile devices. It is very popular because it is available in most mobile phones. This can also be used to connect a cell phone to a computer with the same technology.

Wireless modems are also becoming increasingly popular these days. These allow the user to connect to the internet simply by connecting a USB to their computer. They do not require Wi-Fi signal.

There are many Service Providers in the Indian Market that offer Wireless services. Reliance Communications offers these services at very reasonable rates.

Wireless communication is changing the face of communication. Has revolutionized the way we work. It is also bringing the world closer every day.

Email Hosting Helps In Business Communication

October 7th, 2010

We all know that good Communication is one of the most important skills that one should have for life and most definitely for business. It is very important for an organization to communicate with its clients as well as its employees. In the past this communication was in the form of face to face meetings, letters and telephonic conversations. But with the changing times, most communication has shifted to the online medium.

Email is a very big part of our lives today. But when email was first introduced, there were very few services that offered email accounts. These were services like Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and AOL. These days there are a vast number of email providers. These offer unlimited space, spam protection, large size for attachments and even phone access.

These service providers are very good for personal use. But when it comes to internet business, it is not as convenient to use.

For an internet based business, a majority of business is conducted over email. A certain amount of business can be conducted over the phone. But most online customers would prefer to correspond with the organization via the internet.

An organization can use commercially available e-mail. But often the server problems or stop-off resulting in lost sales and poor customer service. A great personal frustration also stems from when one is unable to work due to technical difficulties.

This is where email hosting saves the day. An email hosting service offers to perform email functions for customers. These functions can be as basic as send and receive and as complicated as database processing and global searching. Simply put it is an internet hosting service that runs email servers. These services offer premium email at a certain cost. They are different from other free webmail services because they do not rely on advertising.

Hosting Services e-mail to respond primarily to small and medium enterprises. A large organization is likely to manage their own hosting servers. A service provided by these services must agree to keep their accounts secure email clients. Also ensure that the servers that stored email accounts are reliable. The service will also store all the files of email clients on their own servers. It is important to have a backup system and a technical support system.

Certain large companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft offer free email hosting services. Only the most basic services are offered for free. The more complicated needs, especially storage of email messages, are charged to the customer.

Palmistry can answer all the questions that we have in our mind about our life. It is the art of reading palms which has been in practice since thousands of years. It not only includes reading palms but also the shapes on an individual’s hand. Palmistry predicts your future and interprets different aspects of your life by examining the lines on your palm.

Indian palmistry is mainly concerned with science of reading palms, bringing to the forefront the potential abilities of a person and predicting his/her future. It discovers an individual’s nature, aptitude, career information, marriage compatibility and any dangers that might occur in future.

Heart line, Head line, Life line, girdle of Venus, sun line, mercury line and fate line are the seven important palm lines. All human beings have a headline, a heart line and a lifeline on their palm, which are the primary set of lines, while the thumb, finger, nails and the type of hand an individual has are the secondary set of lines.

People often believe that a lifeline tells you how long you will live, however this is not the case. It tells you about the quality, strength and energy of your life. It indicates the physical health and general state of a person. It also informs an individual about the changes that will be caused because of physical injuries.

The Heart line is situated below the fingers. As the name suggests it shows the state of an individual’s heart. It shows the stability and strength of an individual. Love and romance is generally ruled by the heart line.
