Once kids lose their fear of the dark, it seems they can’t get enough of playing out late at night, playing games like hide and seek or other such games. It must seem like a whole new world to discover to new eyes, and in reality it is. All kinds of critters venture out at night when the world is in darkness and do quirky (like tipping the garbage over !). However the main drawback of playing at night and in the dark is that the eyes aren’t up to it. We have very limited vision in the dark, which obviously hinders night time play quite dramatically. Stealth goggles, referred to as version 1 and stealth binoculars, known as version 2 go by the name EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles and are made by Jakks. They are designed for kids 8 years and over for the purpose of playing various games at night.

They use the same technology as the proper night vision gear you might expect the military to use – namely infrared frequency light to illuminate the night. This produces a fairly good picture of what is going on around you, in green or black and white images.

The goggles are referred to as stealth because there are two modes. The first mode is the stealth mode that allows totally covert operations. This means the goggles are totally undetectable – no visible light or sound whatsoever.

The 2nd mode, called the surveillance mode, affords a longer range, (apparently 50 feet at the upper limits) but it gives off a red light. If you are well concealed this might not be noticeable but it is obviously not as stealthy as the first mode.

Version 1 is a proper set of goggles that strap around the head. They can fit snugly to the face ensuring comfort even when wearing them for a fairly long period of time. The goggles have a soft rubber front that molds to the shape of the persons face so that no light can escape out. There are also caps on the eyeholes so that you can flip them up or down based on if you want to use the infrared vision or your normal eyes. So this means you will never have to take off the goggles unless you desire to.

The binoculars give you more flexibility to switch between infrared vision and normal night time vision, but of course, you have to use your hands to operate them. This could cause people to lose interest in the binoculars if they need hands free night vision abilities.

Both make fun toys however they do take a bit of getting used to and you can’t run around whilst using them. If goggles don’t sound like you, then how about some stealth night vision binoculars instead.

My cute little and adorable kids love cartoons, and, why not admit it, so do I, and I’m no kid. We like spending our evenings in front of the TV, or laptop, and watching some new cartoons. They’re more into “The PowerPuff Girls”, while I’m more into “Dexter’s Laboratory”, so we tend to argue a little, but we eventually come to an agreement.

I have tried to share with them my all-time passion for Disney cartoons, but after a few attempts I had to give it up. They fancy watching Cartoon Network more than watching Sleeping Beauty, so they convinced me to watch TV with them, even if I’m still in love with my classic Disney cartoons.

I didn’t agree at first, but they know how to be very convincing, so I finished by looking up for some good mp3 player with video features.

I loaded them up with all their favorite cartoons, and I made them a great surprise. When they unwrapped the presents, opened the boxes, and saw their new players, they were overjoyed.

Now, they take their new “toys” everywhere with them. They have learnt quite easily how to load cartoons and music on their players, and they watch them on every trip, and even on breaks, at school. And I can watch my beloved Disney movies without any arguments, any time I want.

My kid’s birthday was coming up, and once again I had no idea what to get her. Dolls were out of the question, as she was getting a little old for them, but I didn’t know what else to buy. Her mother was of no use, so I had to go out and look for a suitable present on my own, knowing that if she didn’t like it, it would be my fault, of course.

I entered all the shops I could find, one by one, from toy stores, to electronics stores. My finances were not great either, but I wanted a nice present for her. Just when I though everything was hopeless, and was going to buy a dollhouse, I saw something interesting, that wasn’t too expensive either.

The salesman explained everything I needed to know about the sansa shaker 1gb mp3 player and I bought it, hoping she would like it. I happily showed my wife my player, and she said I was crazy. What does she know? I’ve been using ever since, and I even started taking it to work with me. I always find a couple of minutes to listen to my favorite song.
